Inspiration
An airplane is the fastest mode of transporation available at the moment. If you want to get from point a to point b, there are multiple modes of transport you can use, but none as quick as a plane. For an airplane to travel, an airport is the required land-based location to arrive at and depart from. An airport is interesting in that people from all over the world travel near and far to reach a final destination. The cultures create a unique energy and buzz that is only fashioned from a rich culture unique to the individual and their country of origin in how they do things and behave - their customs, mannerisms, cuisines and the like.
Idea
Just think of us as an airport people depart to and from. We are doing nothing new, we're just providing reach through anonymity where the message gets the focus. The brand is only revealed after a digital advertisement is clicked. We want to create value for advertising dollars to help generate more revenue through higher conversions with more qualified prospects. Anchoring on the message, when your ad is clicked we hope it is because a prospect is truly interested in the digital ad.
Past
Branding is powerful for businesses and many times is the reason we may purchase an item. The advertising of old relied heavily upon great advertisement because there was no internet to freely gather information on a product or service intersted in. In smaller markets, word-of-mouth was the lifeblood of advertising as you only trusted what a neighbor or friend may have mentioned about a brand. This is still the case today but not as important in years past.
Present
As we like to combine the old with the new, we believe word-of-mouth is the ultimate form of appreciation for businesses and companies as it signals relevancy and an ambassador who can convert more sales for your product and/or service. By focusing on ad messaging we want to initially make the flow of placement and message purpose of importance, and branding will come next in the chain. As we deal in traditional print through limited edition catalogs, magazines and books, there is still value in print advertising. Thinking of ways to bring the best benefit and reach for valuable advertising dollars is our expectation.
Future
Smith Cotton Co. aims to expand new horizons and push the limits of capacities.
